you don’t have to carry it alone anymore
You don’t have to navigate anxiety, relationship wounds, or past trauma alone. We provide trauma-informed therapy for individuals seeking safety, clarity, and meaningful change. Together, we create a space where healing feels steady, supported, and empowering.
Ashley Powell, LCSW-C
LICENSED THERAPIST & OWNER
I approach therapy as a steady, collaborative process rooted in safety and respect. My style is warm, direct, and thoughtful — balancing compassion with gentle challenge when growth calls for it.
I believe healing happens when you feel truly seen and supported, not judged or rushed. Whether we are working through anxiety, relational wounds, or the impact of trauma, my goal is to create a space where you can move at your own pace while building clarity, confidence, and resilience.
As a therapist, I value honesty, empowerment, and emotional safety. I am especially passionate about supporting women and adolescents as they reclaim their voice and reconnect with their sense of self.

individual
therapy
Individual therapy provides a safe place to slow down, reflect, and begin untangling what feels overwhelming. Through a trauma-informed lens, we help adults and adolescents build resilience, strengthen self-understanding, and gently process painful experiences. I work with women and teens (ages 13+). Whether you're a young person navigating something hard for the first time, or an adult who's been carrying something for years — you're welcome here.

Complete privacy. Using insurance requires a formal mental health diagnosis, which becomes part of your permanent health record and can be seen by insurers. Self-pay keeps your therapy entirely confidential.
Your treatment, your timeline. Insurance companies can limit the number of sessions they'll cover and require me to justify ongoing care. Self-pay means we decide together what you need — no outside interference.
No required diagnosis. Insurance billing requires a diagnosable condition. If you're coming in for personal growth, life transitions, or relationship issues, self-pay may actually be a better fit.
More control over your care. Your employer-sponsored insurance may have access to certain claims information. Self-pay eliminates that concern entirely.
-
Yes! Therapy is an eligible expense under most HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) plans. This is a great way to use pre-tax dollars to invest in your mental health without going through insurance.
-
Yes. Everything you share is confidential and protected by law. I will not share information about you or your sessions without your written consent.
There are a small number of legal exceptions — for example, if there is a risk of imminent harm to yourself or others, or if abuse of a child or vulnerable adult is disclosed. I'll go over all of this with you during our first session so you know exactly where the boundaries are.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy used to help process and reduce the emotional impact of traumatic experiences. When appropriate, I integrate EMDR into treatment in a thoughtful and structured way.
